Reports of a possible gas explosion in Tuxedo Park had not yet been confirmed as of 11:30 a.m. July 22.

A heightened police presence in Tuxedo Park in Orange County on Route 17, minutes from the Rockland County border, is being reported Wednesday, July 22.

As of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Route 17 is currently closed in both directions, according to the New York Department of Transportation 511 alerts.
