NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials are seeking the public’s help after two dogs were found unattended in New Haven on Wednesday.

According to The Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter, a male and female dog were found tied up and left unattended in front of an abandoned house on the 600 block of Orchard Street. 

Officials said the dogs are safe and in the shelter’s care.

The shelter is asking for information regarding who owns the dog, who is responsible for them and who left them unattended in front of the house. 

Animal control officials are asking anyone who recognizes the dogs or has seen anything suspicious to call the shelter at 203-946-8110.
