Paige shares frustration over WWE return leaking

Paige‘s return to WWE was a surprise that got spoiled, and she recently opened up about how annoying it was.

Speaking to Nikki and Brie Bella while on the Nikki and Brie Show during a special live show at Fanatics Fest, Paige opened up about her return. She said the moment came as a very last second thing, and only came about because of Nikki Bella’s injury.

"It was crazy because it was Hunter, Triple H, calling me, and we were already in talks about potentially doing something, maybe," Paige said (via Wrestling News). "But it was very last second where they're like, can you come to Mania and take Nikki's place for a second?"

When it came to her return, the news came as a surprise to many. However, it had been widely reported on for a couple of days, and fans quickly deduced that Paige would coming back, spoiling the surprise to some. The star says it was frustrating, but that she still got “chills” thinking back to the return and the reaction she got from the crowd.

"The day of Mania, I was supposed to go do a signing, and then last second they pulled the signing and got me to go to Mania, and I was like, well, that gives it away then, because I had to cancel the signing," said Paige. "And also, it leaked the day before. We can't have surprises anymore. It was the most frustrating thing ever."

"I didn't have any preparation time for the match at all. It was Monday, and my manager said, oh, we got stuff Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then we have the Mania on Saturday. I didn't have any time to get in the ring. We did have rehearsals, but I was just coming in at the end of the match. I was like, well, thank gosh, I don't have to do too much, but then obviously we end up winning the tag team championship."
