Cats still carry the stereotype of being aloof and overly independent, yet many felines are total snuggle bugs who love to socialize. They curl up and cuddle with family members, enjoy mingling, and make wonderful friends to their fellow fur babies.
Buddy the orange cat is a wonderful example of an affectionate kitty. He was recently surrendered to the Humane Society of Broward County and is longing for a forever home.
The TikTok from @humanebroward told Buddy's story and described his gentle and loving nature. The pretty kitty would make a wonderful addition to any loving family.
"Buddy is the kind of cat who just wants to be wherever you are," the caption shared. "At just 2 years old, he’s been waiting almost a month for someone to take him home. He’s friendly, loves attention, comes when you call his name, and would happily spend his day curled up in your lap. Buddy is great with other cats, loves cat trees, catnip mice, toy balls, and never says no to a treat. He’s the kind of cat who wants to be part of your everyday life."
The orange cat was brought to the shelter through no fault of his own, and now hopes to be adopted.
"He was surrendered because his family had too many cats, not because there was anything wrong with him," the story continued. "If you’ve been thinking about adding a sweet, affectionate best friend to your family, come meet Buddy. We have a feeling he won’t take long to steal your heart."

These ginger felines are a popular pick for pet parents due to their reputation for being so loving. Despite the lack of scientific data, orange cats are considered more friendly and affectionate than other cats. Since 80 percent of orange cats are male, and male cats tend to be more social, this majority just strengthens how these felines are favored.
An orange cat's playful personality and curious nature also adds to their charm. They love to cuddle and form close bonds with other pets, making them an ideal addition to a family pack.
