CVS Will Now Fill Common Pet Prescriptions for Dogs and Cats
Just like finding a pet product that doubles as something useful for yourself, CVS's new pharmacy update is a great way to streamline your and your pet's needs, no matter how busy the week gets. Pet-only medications like antibiotics, allergy, flea and tick control, insulin, and pain relievers will all be available at participating CVS Pharmacies, effectively expanding your access to essential pet health care.
But the good news doesn't stop there. Pet prescriptions will also be eligible for many of the same pharmacy services available for human prescriptions, including automatic refills and prescription syncing, helping make ongoing care easier to manage. Select medications may also be available for delivery, giving you even more flexibility when it comes to caring for your furry friends.

How It Works
If you'd like to fill your pet's medication at CVS, all you need to do is present a written prescription or ask your veterinarian to contact the pharmacy directly. Once CVS Pharmacy receives the prescription, you can choose to either pick it up in store or have it delivered to your home, if eligible.
You can also add your pet to your CVS.com profile and manage eligible pet prescriptions through the CVS Health app, making it even easier to keep track of ongoing medications and stay on top of your pet's needs.
Beyond prescriptions, CVS is also expanding its pet care offerings with everyday essentials for both dogs and cats. As the program continues to roll out, you can expect to find things like dog and cat food, grooming supplies, flea and tick care and other wellness products, giving you even more options when shopping for your furry friend.
