Three local Little League teams will begin play at state tournaments on Friday. Following is the schedule for each. Northeast will head to Tecumseh for the major baseball state tournament, which will feature four pools of four teams each. The top two teams from each pool will advance to bracket play. Three local Little League teams will begin play at state tournaments on Friday. Following is the schedule for each.

Northeast will head to Tecumseh for the major baseball state tournament, which will feature four pools of four teams each. The top two teams from each pool will advance to bracket play.

In pool play, Northeast will face Harbor Springs on Friday at noon, Saline on Saturday at 10 a.m., and Taylor North on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Quarterfinals will be played on Monday and semifinals on Tuesday, with the championship game slated for Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Northeast will also be represented in Harbor Springs in the minor baseball state tournament, which also will include four pools of four teams each, with the top two from each pool advancing.

In pool play, Northeast will take on Gladstone on Friday at 6 p.m., Dexter on Saturday at 12:30 p.m., and Hudson on Sunday at a time to be determined.

Quarterfinals will be played on Monday and semifinals on Tuesday, with the championship game scheduled for Wednesday at noon.

Bullock Creek will head to Sparta for the 11U softball state tournament, which will feature one pool of 10 teams. Each team will play three games, and the top four will advance to the semifinals.

Creek will face opponents to be determined on Friday at 4 p.m., on Saturday at 10 a.m., and on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The semifinals will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., with the final to follow at 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, Bullock Creek will compete in the upcoming Junior League Baseball Central Region tournament at the Northeast complex in Midland by virtue of winning the District 1 championship and receiving an automatic berth into the regional as the host team.

Creek will begin play in the double-elimination bracket against the Kentucky state champion at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.

Play will continue through the championship game on Sunday, Aug. 2.
