The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the best teams in the NFL since Nick Sirianni took over as head coach in 2021. With Sirianni in charge and Jalen Hurts at quarterback the team has gone 59-26, been to two Super Bowls and won a championship.
Nick Sirianni has been the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles since 2021. While they’ve had plenty of success over that time, that’s a relatively long time for a coach to be in one place in the NFL. Sirianni and Dan Campbell are currently tied for the sixth-longest tenures in the NFL right now.
The truth about the NFL is that if you haven’t won recently, no one really cares. Just ask Doug Pederson, who preceded Sirianni in Philadelphia. He won a Super Bowl, but when he missed the playoffs three years later, he was fired. Sirianni is entering his second season since winning the Super Bowl and is coming off a year that featured some all-time bad locker room vibes so if he doesn’t turn things around, he could be in trouble.

The Eagles traded a disgruntled AJ Brown during the offseason, so that could help, but Sirianni still wants to do whatever he can to keep things fresh. Via The Athletic:
That’s why Sirianni logged into the artificial intelligence chatbot on a Monday in June — a program he knew so little about that he couldn’t get the name right — and began his research with a prompt: “Give me a great relentless effort true sports story.”
While ChatGPT did indeed suggest a “great relentless effort true sports story,” it also taught him about a little team called the Philadelphia Eagles.
But there’s something else Sirianni realized in conversing with the chatbot. Five years of winning football, including a Lombardi Trophy and postseason bids each season, offered an extensive database within itself. He can discuss an Arizona State wrestler for inspiration. He can also point to something the Eagles achieved or overcame on runs to two Super Bowls to illustrate a lesson on a given day.
“We’ve created stories, things that people are looking up on ChatGP — fill me in on the letters,” Sirianni said in June during a roundtable interview. “What keeps it more fresh than what we’ve done?”
All the experience and resources a championship-winning football coach has access to and he’s using chat bots to remind him he won a Super Bowl 17 months ago. Isn’t technology incredible?
