Netflix's Myron Bolitar adds Jabari Banks, Chloe Fineman, and more to cast

Netflix is gearing up for another book-to-screen adaptation, this time looking to author Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar series for inspiration.

Already in the works at Netflix, David E. Kelley (Margo's Got Money Troubles, Big Little Lies) and Kyle Long (Suits, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G) will serve as showrunners, writers, and executive producers for the Myron Bolitar adaptation, which will also feature a cast ensemble you'll be more than familiar with. (Jabari Banks! KJ Apa! Ben McKenzie! Chloe Fineman!)

The upcoming series is part of the streamer's current partnership with Coben, which, since 2018, has adapted more than 13 books for the screen. His most recent adaptation, I Will Find You, recently became Netflix's biggest original scripted debut of 2026.

Below, we have gathered everything we know so far about Netflix's Myron Bolitar series, from potential plot lines to a breakdown of who's in the cast and what characters they play.

As mentioned above, Netflix's Myron Bolitar show will be based on American author Harlan Coben's thriller book series of the same name, which currently spans 12 books. The first book in the series, Deal Breaker, came out in 1995, while the latest addition is 2024's Think Twice. The series follows the story of the titular Myron Bolitar, a fictional former pro basketball player.

As shared by Netflix, the official logline for the show is as follows: “After an injury ends his NBA dreams, Myron Bolitar reinvents himself as a sports agent—using charm, smarts, and a ruthless partner to navigate the high-stakes and dirty world of sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself.”

It's unclear whether the show will adapt each book in order or pull from multiple books. However, so you get the gist, the first book in the series serves as an introduction to Bolitar, who finds himself in the middle of an embroilment after one of his star athletes and clients gets a call from his presumed-dead girlfriend. The book's synopsis reads: “Trying to unravel the truth about a family’s tragedy, a woman’s secret, and a man’s lies, Myron is up against the dark side of his business—where image and talent make you rich, but the truth can get you killed.”

The cast of Netflix's Myron Bolitar is shaping up nicely, with multiple actors already tapped as series regulars and guest stars. Here's who's playing who so far:

Colin Woodell is Myron Bolitar

American actor Colin Woodell, best known for his roles as Winston Scott on Peacock's The Continental and Buckley on HBO Max's The Flight Attendant, and whom you might recognize as Ben in I Love LA, will play the titular role of Myron Bolitar.

The official character description provided by Netflix describes Bolitar as “a former college basketball star whose NBA career came to an abrupt end" and confirms that “he builds his agency, MB Sports, on an unwavering belief in overlooked athletes, with the same heart and sharp competitive drive he once brought to the court.”

KJ Apa is Win Lockwood

KJ Apa, best known for his work on Riverdale, plays Win Lockwood, described as “a man who was born into extraordinary privilege but walked away from the family business to build something of his own alongside his closest friend, Myron. Unflappable, endlessly resourceful, and fiercely loyal, he's the one Myron turns to when clients find themselves in trouble.”

Diane Guerrero is Esperanza Diaz

Diane Guerrero, who rose to fame with shows like Orange Is the New Black and Jane the Virgin, will play Esperanza Diaz. Diaz is described as “a former professional wrestler” who has now become “Myron's indispensable right hand at MB Sports.” Netflix teased that she is “the backbone of the agency and the steady force keeping both Myron and clients in check.”

Jabari Banks is Dwayne Richmond

Jabari Banks has landed his first major role since Bel Air wrapped as Dwayne Richmond. His character is described as “a charismatic tennis prodigy who experts anticipate will be among the best players in the world.” On top of that, “Richmond is the star client at MB Sports, and the picture of cool, from his signature shoes to his trademarked sunglasses.” Banks will be a series regular on the show.

Chloe Fineman is Parker Quinn

Saturday Night Live alum Chloe Fineman has also joined the cast as a series regular portraying Parker Quinn, “a sports reporter for a major sports publication who has built a stellar reputation through hard work and an undeniable passion for the game.”

Jamie McShane is Detective Ray Dimonte

Jamie McShane, whose credits include Sons of Anarchy, Southland, Bloodline, as well as MCU titles like Thor and The Avengers, will play detective Ray Dimonte. Not much is known about his character other than the fact that he is “a seasoned NYPD homicide detective,” so get ready for some drama. We know McShane will feel comfortable in this type of role, seeing as he also played Sheriff Donovan Galpin in Netflix's Wednesday.

Ben McKenzie is Gavin Pierce

The O.C. alum Ben McKenzie, also known for his role in Gotham and his crypto documentary Everyone is Lying to You for Money, will play Gavin Pierce. Unlike the rest of the cast, McKenzie joins the project in a recurring guest star capacity. His character is described as “one of the biggest agents in sports.” He was Bolitar's agent when he was a professional athlete and dropped him shortly after his injury. As Netflix teases, “the two have never reconciled their differences.”

At the time of writing, there's no first look at Netflix's Myron Bolitar, seeing as the project is yet to begin production. However, Netflix has confirmed that Emmy and Golden Globe winner Greg Yaitanes, who also serves as an executive producer, will direct multiple episodes of the show. Yaitanes is best known for his work on House of the Dragon, Presumed Innocent, and the Hugh Laurie-led House, among many others.

Netflix has yet to share a tentative release date or even a release window for Myron Bolitar. However, should that change soon, we'll make sure to update you here.
