It didn't take long for Chloe Fineman to find her first project after leaving Saturday Night Live. The actor is one of four new additions to the cast of Netflix's Myron Bolitar.
Myron Bolitar is inspired by Harlan Coben’s longest-running book series. Who's Playing Who on Myron Bolitar?
Alongside Fineman, Jabari Banks (Bel-Air) and Jamie McShane (Wednesday) have been cast as series regulars on Myron Bolitar, joining Woodell, KJ Apa, and Diane Guerrero. Ben McKenzie (Gotham) has also been added as a recurring guest star.
Fineman will play Parker Quinn, a sports reporter for a major sports publication who has built a stellar reputation through hard work and an undeniable passion for the game.
Banks will play Dwayne Richmond, a charismatic tennis prodigy who experts anticipate will be among the best players in the world. He’s the star client at MB Sports, and the picture of cool, from his signature shoes to his trademarked sunglasses.
McShane has been cast as Detective Ray Dimonte, a seasoned NYPD homicide detective. Lastly, McKenzie will play Gavin Pierce, one of the biggest agents in sports. Gavin was Myron’s agent during Myron’s brief professional career. Following Myron’s injury, Gavin dropped Myron and the two have never reconciled their differences.
Netflix Remains All in on Harlan Coben Adaptations
Myron Bolitar is the latest project between Netflix and Coben. The streamer has so far adapted 12 of the author's books, including Fool Me Once, Run Away, Safe, The Woods, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Stay Close, Hold Tight, The Stranger, Missing You, Just One Look, Caught, and, most recently, I Will Find You.
The series was first reported to be in development this past May. David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) and Kyle Long (Suits) will co-showrun, write, and executive produce Myron Bolitar. Coben, Matthew Tinker, Rick Muirragui, and Greg Yaitanes are also attached as executive producers. Yaitanes will also direct multiple episodes.
Myron Bolitar is Coben's longest-running series. The first book, Deal Breaker, was published in 1995, while the most recent, Think Twice, hit shelves in 2024. Two spinoff series have also been released. The first, Mickey Bolitar, counts three books. The second, Windsor Horne Lockwood III, counts just one: the 2021 novel Win.
"What an honor — not to mention, great fun — it is to partner up at Netflix with legend David E. Kelley and his remarkable team on this exciting new series," Coben said back in May. "The Myron Bolitar books mean a great deal to me, and I’m thrilled to have such a talented and inspired group bringing them to life."
Netflix has not yet disclosed a release window for Myron Bolitar.
