The beloved Naruto Mythos TCG is finally making its way to the United States, months after its initial debut in Europe. Distributor Zvezdar is giving fans the first chance to experience the game at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Per IGN, Zvezdar is expanding its operations into the American market with the launch of Naruto Mythos. The distributor will be at this year's SDCC with booths allowing fans to try the game for free and collect two special promo cards. SDCC will also be the first spot where fans can buy booster boxes ahead of the game's upcoming North American launch.
Other pre-release events of the first official card set, which is titled Konoha Shido, will also take place across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean beginning Aug. 29.
Naruto Mythos Gives Fans 2 Special Promo Cards at SDCC 2026
Naruto fans looking to be among the first to check out Naruto Mythos in the U.S. can do so at the main Comic-Con booth in the Marriott hotel. A hands-on demo will see players facing off and learning about the game, its cards and other mechanics. A grab bag will also be distributed while supplies last that includes a "unique Summoning Jutsu promo card."
Fans can purchase Naruto Mythos cards at the Rocketship booth on the main convention floor. Those who purchase a booster box will get another promotional card, the Shadow Clone Jutsu variant of a rare card from the first set, while supplies last. Both cards are "Mythos" rarity in the game, which is a tier saved for out-of-collection cards available only through special events or tournaments. Typical cards are available in five tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Secret Rare and Legendary.
The Naruto Mythos TCG leans into classic TCG variant cards but with an exciting twist, with the Common and Uncommon cards available in Normal, Full Art and Holographic versions. The Full Art cards have a see-through text box at the bottom, allowing more of the beloved Naruto characters to be seen. Holographics also include crisper lighting or more vibrant colors.
The game also features 'puzzle art' cards, which are sets of nine that create one continuous artwork when placed side by side. Other cards also have unique backgrounds, micro-engravings and other features that make them unique -- such as a gold finish, triangle holographic effect or unique colors -- to make their rarity stand out.
Legendary cards, the rarest, are uniquely numbered and made with 22-karat gold foil. Their standout appearance is sure to make them a coveted collectors' item. Examples of the various card types can be seen above.
Naruto Mythos TCG Already Has a Bright Future
With Naruto Mythos' arrival at SDCC, bigger plans for the game's North American presence are also in motion. A full worldwide rollout is reportedly coming in November, though exact dates for when fans can get cards outside SDCC have not been announced at this time.
While North America might be slightly behind the game's launch in Europe, it's been successful even without the U.S. market. The second set, titled Shinobi Shiren, will arrive in Europe this September. A third set will debut the Shippuden-era and Akatsuki clan and will arrive at a later date.
The game has already been highly acclaimed by fans as well as collectors for its impeccable card quality, anime artwork and engaging gameplay mechanics. Naruto Mythos' gameplay challenges players with both their timing and the ability to predict their opponent, encouraging them to master various mechanics and pull off the moves of a true ninja warrior in the process.
The Naruto Mythos TCG pre-release event kicks off at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, with more details of the North American release expected to follow.
