Jujutsu Kaisenis celebrating MAPPA's latest major milestone with a brand-new series of illustrations that are more than worthy of their own upcoming exhibit.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the MAPPA 15th Anniversary Expo recently unveiled four new illustrations featuring some of the most beloved Jujutsu Kaisen characters. The illustrations will grace numerous pieces of sequentially released merchandise that fans can look forward to seeing during the upcoming expo, which will be held at the Yurakucho Museum in Tokyo from Sept. 16 to Dec. 7, 2026.
MAPPA Celebrates Milestone 15th Anniversary With New Jujutsu Kaisen Designs
As noted by the official event description, the MAPPA 15th Anniversary Expo "will feature a special display that can only be seen here, allowing visitors to experience the charm and worldview of works such as the theatrical film Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, Attack on Titan: The Final Season and the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. In addition, a wide variety of original goods for the MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary exhibition, featuring newly drawn illustrations and original drawings, will be available."
General tickets are currently on sale for the MAPPA 15th Anniversary Expo, with students of all ages eligible for some steep discounts. There are also three exclusive merchandise sets including pieces from Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, Attack on Titan: The Final Season and Jujutsu Kaisen available for pre-order, which attendees will be able to pick up at the event.
While new illustrations have also been revealed ahead of the event for the above MAPPA anime, Jujutsu Kaisen is notably the only anime so far that has received four of them, rather than only one or two. In order from left to right, these new designs depict the characters from the Hidden Inventory arc (also known as Gojo's Past Arc), the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, the Shibuya Incident arc and the Culling Game arc.
Based on creator Gege Akutami's 2018 bestselling manga of the same name, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation by studio MAPPA premiered in 2020, introducing a wider audience than ever before to the series' dark, fantastical world. At the heart of Jujutsu Kaisen is Yuji Itadori who, like so many other high-school-aged protagonists before him, is thrust into the midst of a harrowing adventure he could never have imagined.
The official logline for Jujutsu Kaisen reads, "Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna.
"Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses... and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back."
Currently, fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the series' third season on Netflix on July 22. Apart from giving subscribers the chance to watch the series outside Crunchyroll, it also gives audiences the opportunity to catch up with the series ahead of the release of Season 4, subtitled The Culling Game: Part Two.
