Michigan State basketball has reportedly locked in a visit with a high-level, near five-star point guard for this fall.
Jaxson Davis of Gurnee, Ill. will reportedly be visiting Michigan State in October, according to Sam Kayser of League Ready. Per a social media post from Kayser on Tuesday, Davis will visit Michigan State on October 1.
Davis is listed as a high-end four-star point guard prospect, with a recruiting rating of 98.32 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 10 point guard and No. 35 overall prospect in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is also listed as the top player from Kansas in this class.
Michigan State extend an offer to Davis in early July, and is one of nearly 20 schools to offer him, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Iowa, Arizona State, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Purdue, DePaul, Marquette and Northwestern.
According to 247Sports, Davis is also expected to take an official visit to Iowa shortly before he heads to Michigan State. He will be in Iowa City, Iowa on September 19, so it appears right now it's a battle between the Hawkeyes and Spartans for Davis.
