The entire NBA world — including league commissioner Adam Silver — is eagerly awaiting LeBron James‘ free agency decision.
A few weeks ago, James informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he intends to play his historic 24th NBA season elsewhere — opening up his highly-publicized free agency process.
As the days continue to roll by, there’s still no timetable for James’ decision.
Last week, Silver urged James to make his decision as soon as possible so the league can finalize its national TV broadcast schedule.
Draymond Green feels this message may have had the opposite of its intended effect.
“Adam saying that is not going to speed up LeBron’s decision at all,” Green said. “I know Bron well. If anything it may slow his decision down a little more, because that’s just how Bron is.
“I am expecting decision sooner rather than later. But trust me, that definitely didn’t speed it up.”
During an appearance with “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, James’ agent, Rich Paul, urged NBA fans to be patient with The King as he continues to weigh his options. Paul reiterated that he’s not sure when James will announce his ultimate decision.
Green’s Golden State Warriors are one of the reported contenders to land James in free agency.
