2028 three-star quarterback Know Annis is currently committed to the Miami Hurricanes. He pledged to them back in April, but teams are still inquiring about the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder.
One team is within the state of Florida. According to Zach Blostein of 247Sports, Florida State has been reaching out and keeping the lines of communication open with Annis.
Miami landed a commitment from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin three-star quarterback Knox Annis in the spring. His recruitment does not appear to be completely shut down yet, however, as he told 247Sports recently that he continues to communicate with other schools. Florida State is a program he mentioned by name when asked who else he still talks to. If Miami's 2029 quarterback commit CJ Cypher reclassifies to 2028, Annis's recruitment could be affected as it is rare to see two quarterback classes nowadays.
Annis is the No. 501 player nationally and the No. 40 quarterback per the 247Sports composite rankings. He's ranked as the No. 71 recruit in the state of Florida as well.
The Seminoles are attempting to flip Annis due to a very productive sophomore campaign at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville. He produced 2,203 yards and 22 touchdowns to 10 interceptions, plus he registered 330 rushing yards on 34 carries and another score. Annis led Mandarin to the regional finals of the Florida 6A playoffs.
Nothing would be sweeter for FSU than to take a player from Miami. It'll be interesting to see where they can position themselves in the recruitment of Annis going forward.
