More shops and restaurants are getting set to join the landmark Treasure Valley shopping center, The Village at Meridian.
For more than six months, dirt has been moving on the center’s expansion, which is expected to add roughly 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space to the area lining Eagle Road.
Now, developers with California-based CenterCal Properties have confirmed the first slate of businesses anticipated to pop up at the site. The coming stores are a departure from previous plans to build hundreds of luxury apartments at the shopping center — a shift driven by changing market conditions around multifamily development, developers said.
“The Village at Meridian continues to be one of the strongest retail environments in the country,” CenterCal CEO Jean Paul Wardy said in a recent news release announcing the new stores. “This expansion allows us to introduce retail and dining options that align with how the market has evolved and what customers are looking for today.”
According to the release, the new buildings will “seamlessly integrate” with the existing shopping center, with new “outdoor-oriented spaces” also planned.
Here’s where you’ll soon be able to shop, work out and dine:
Vuori: Developers have confirmed plans from the fast-growing Southern California activewear brand inspired by the “Coastal California lifestyle.” This would be Vuori’s first Idaho brick-and-mortar store, though the apparel is stocked in some Boise-area sporting goods stores, including REI and Scheels.
Alo Yoga: This Los Angeles-based yoga apparel store is also looking to open its first Idaho store, CenterCal confirmed.
Kendra Scott: The Austin-based jewelry company by designer Kendra Scott is also planning its first opening in the Gem State at The Village.
Tecovas: Another Austin company has homed in on the shopping center. Tecovas is a Western boots brand with more than 60 locations nationwide, according to its website. The Meridian site would be Idaho’s first.
Gorjana: This jewelry brand, which partners with female professional athletes, started in Laguna Beach, California, and has three locations in Utah but none yet in Idaho, according to its website.
Tempur-Pedic: Products from the foam mattress and pillow company can be found at different retailers in the Boise area, but the new Meridian location is considered a “flagship” store, containing only Tempur-Pedic products.
Flower Child: This health food chain known for catering to “a variety of dietary needs” is getting set to open its first Idaho restaurant in the fall, the Statesman previously reported. The restaurant is expected to be Flower Child’s 46th nationwide.
Paris Baguette: Permits filed with the city of Meridian first hinted at interest from this global chain based in South Korea, the Statesman reported in February. In its recent news release, CenterCal confirmed Paris Baguette would bring a bakery-cafe to the shopping center.
Solidcore: The fitness studio set to make its Idaho debut is described by CenterCal as the “nation’s leading high-intensity, low-impact strength training brand.” Workouts at Solidcore use “reformers” similar to Pilates machines but with a focus on strength training, according to its website.
When can you shop? And what else is coming?
According to CenterCal, an initial wave of openings is set for September, with the full expansion anticipated to be complete in February 2027.
“The expansion reflects continued leasing momentum and strong interest from national retailers looking to enter or grow within the Boise market,” the release said. “Additional tenants will be announced as leasing activity continues.”
But recent permit filings with the city have offered a sneak peek at who’s interested. Those have included filings from furniture store Pottery Barn, upscale steakhouse chain The Capital Grille, and gastropub featuring live music Culinary Dropout.
