Missing 81-year-old Boca Raton man with Alzheimer's found safe

UPDATE: Boca Raton Police report that Moises Dorta was located in Broward County and has safely returned home.

Police are searching for an 81-year-old Boca Raton man with Alzheimer's disease and dementia who was reported missing early Tuesday morning.

Officers with the Boca Raton Police Department said Moises Dorta was last seen around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, in the 1500 block of Southwest 4th Circle.

Investigators said Dorta suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia and is believed to be traveling on foot.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt, knee-length shorts and sandals. Police described him as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
