ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A “missing, endangered” 79-year-old Florida man last seen in Atlanta has been found safe, according to police.
On Friday morning, police in Clewiston, Florida, asked for the public’s help with locating Lee Jonathan Henderson, whose last known location was near the railroad yard by West Highlands in Atlanta.
He had last been seen in Clewiston on Tuesday, police said.
On Friday afternoon, Clewiston police said Henderson was found safe.
Authorities had issued a Silver Alert for Henderson. The alerts notify the public about missing seniors, particularly those with cognitive impairments.
“Time is of the essence in ensuring Mr. Henderson’s safe return to his family,” Clewiston police said earlier Friday.
