The strappy Christian Louboutin Rosalie sandals had their moment in the sun, and then the similar Rosa Z style took over. Minka Kelly returned to the original version of the sandals during her appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" on Monday.
The actress paired the Rosalie sandals with a LaPointe V-neck feather dress in black. The midi-length, sleeveless dress featured an allover silver metallic sequin embellishment and a dramatic black feather trim on the skirt. The feathers land right at her calves, directing the eye right to her strappy sandals.
Kelly, who was promoting Season Two of her Netflix show "Ransom Canyon," matched her dress with Rosalie sandals in black. The shoe style is Maison Christian Louboutin's contemporary take on the timeless stiletto sandal. The sandals feature simple, elegant lines that come together in an innovative design, characterized by a slender strap that starts as a slingback and wraps around the foot, culminating in a wavy design over the toe.
The narrow strap features a two-piece construction and is supported by a post strap and a slim straight strap over the toes. The style is crafted in a buttery-soft, smooth black leather with a towering 100mm heel. The designer offers the shoes in white and beige for $945.
The style was popular on red carpets for celebrities like Simone Ashley, Doja Cat, Zoe Saldaña, Kate Mara and more. The brand also released the Rosalie Jewel version, which has been worn by Zendaya, Tyla, Taylor Swift and others, while Jenna Ortega, Dove Cameron and Sydney Sweeney have been spotted wearing the Rosalie Alta platform version.
However, after releasing the Miss Z collection in early 2025, the brand has shifted into high gear, applying the same elements of the popular new pump design into their other beloved shoe styles. The Rosalie model was reintroduced as the Rosa Z sandal, which has the same striking curved lines and slim strap design that wraps the foot, and has become a go-to for celebrities like Dua Lipa and Zara Larsson.
The Rosa Z was upgraded with all the new features of the Miss Z pump, including a padded insole, a slightly curved 100mm stiletto heel that reveals the brand's signature Loubi red sole on the side, and an "Everlasting Red" sole coating technique that ensures resistance and lasting vibrancy for the red sole.
