The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the New York Mets by the score of 8-3 on Monday. The victory improved Milwaukee’s record to 63-37 on the season, which is the best record in Major League Baseball.
Obviously, there are still 62 games remaining in the year. There is a great deal that can happen between now and the end of September. For their part, the Brewers are focusing on getting healthy, staying healthy, and controlling what they can control.
On that note, the team revealed injury updates for several players that are currently on the injured list.

As good as Milwaukee has been, they have been far from healthy. Part of what makes them such a good team is that they are able to overcome injuries that prove to be detrimental to other teams.
Multiple starting pitchers and key position players are currently on the injured list. On Tuesday, the Brewers released updates on a few of them.
・Kyle Harrison (forearm tightness): Milwaukee’s best left-handed starter is scheduled to throw a “four-up” live bullpen on Saturday. If all goes well, he will begin a rehab assignment on July 31. The Brewers are targeting an early August return.
・Sal Frelick (shoulder): Milwaukee’s Gold Glove right fielder is having more imaging done on his right shoulder.
・Brandon Lockridge (knee): After a couple set-backs in his recovery from a deep knee contusion a couple of months ago, Lockridge will start a rehab assignment in Triple-A Nashville tomorrow.
・Brandon Woodruff (shoulder): His second capsule repair surgery will take place in August.
・DL Hall (pectoral strain): After a scoreless inning in his first rehab outing, Hall will pitch two innings in a second rehab appearance tomorrow.
・David Hamilton (hamstring): The speedy utility infielder will play five innings in a rehab assignment in Nashville tonight. He is scheduled to return to the Brewers on Friday.
