With 325.1 million views and 541.8 million hours watched, KPop Demon Hunters is the most-watched movie in the history of Netflix, and the contest isn't particularly close. That said, there's always hope for a new film to take the crown, or at least to take a seat at the foot of the throne. And now, a new movie has now officially entered Netflix's all-time top 10.
Swappedis an animated movie that came out on Netflix on May 1, 2026. Michael B. Jordan voices Ollie, a sloth-like creature called a Pookoo who lives in a flooded valley. Through a series of magical shenanigans, Ollie takes on the form of a bird called a Javan. Meanwhile, a Javan named Ivy (Juno Temple) transforms into a Pookoo. The two need to work together in order to return to their original forms, and in the process maybe foster understanding between the many creatures living in the valley.
Despite middling reviews, Swapped was a hit almost immediately and remained on Netflix's Global Daily Top 10 chart for an impressive 76 days. Now, the movie has become one of the top 10 most watched movies in the history of Netflix, knocking the action movie The Gray Manout of tenth place and off the chart.
For the record, here's how the Top 10 chart looks right now:
What's more, Swapped still has time to climb higher. On Netflix, a movie's viewership isn't cemented until it's been available to watch for 91 days. Swapped will cross that threshold on July 31. Given that it already has nearly as many views as the Alan Ritchson sci-fi action movie War Machine, it seems likely that Swapped will take the ninth place spot before its window closes. It could even take the eighth place slot from Sam Esmail's apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind.
Swapped director Nathan Greno shared how excited he was about the milestone with What's On Netflix. "Animation has the power to connect with people in a uniquely deep way, and seeing audiences around the globe embrace Swapped has been truly rewarding," he said. "To see that connection lead to Swapped becoming one of Netflix’s ten most popular films of all time is an incredible honor and a testament to the passion, talent, and heart of our entire crew."
Greno, who co-directed the 2010 animated film Tangled before taking on Swapped, released an additional statement to the press: "Swapped celebrates the idea that we’re stronger together, and there’s nothing more rewarding than knowing that message has connected with so many people across the globe."
Swapped is currently streaming on Netflix. We'll keep an eye on the Top 10 chart to see if it climbs any higher.
