It seems all might not be well in Melania Trump's marriage.
The first lady, 56, has been married to Donald Trump since 2005 and it's safe to say they've faced their share of ups and downs over the years. According to Michael Wolff's book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, the pair sleep in separate rooms at the White House, with the president allegedly requesting a key so he could lock the door of his room.
Even Melania's first meeting with her now-husband raised eyebrows as he was on a date with another woman at the time. Their relationship has now been dragged into the spotlight again, with Wolff claiming the couple "barely speak." The comments come after a body language expert suggested the president and first lady seemed "tense" while at the 2026 World Cup final.

Writing on his Substack Howl, Wolff claimed, "Everybody in the White House is afraid of Melania Trump and her power — that is, if she chooses to use it. They largely think she won’t, or at least won’t use it so obviously enough to directly threaten the palace, but they can’t be sure.
"At the same time, they think that the relationship between the president and his wife is probably at its lowest point since the Stormy Daniels trial — and that was very low." President Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in May 2024.
Prosecutors accused the now-80-year-old of engaging in a "scheme" to boost his chances during the 2016 presidential election. A series of hush money payments were made by others and business records were falsified to cover up the alleged criminal conduct.
Among the people given hush money payments was adult star Stormy Daniels. The payment related to an alleged one-night sexual encounter between President Trump and the actress.
Wolff alleged the president and his wife "barely speak," noting, "There is hardly even the pretense that she lives in the White House." The Trump family have a base in New York's Trump Tower, as well as their home in the White House.
In response to Wolff's latest claims, White House spokesman Steven Cheung hit back at the author. He told The Irish Star, "Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s--t and has been proven to be a fraud. He routinely fabricates stories originating from his sick and warped imagination, only possible because he has a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain."
Wolff's claims come after Melania and Donald Trump attended the World Cup final together on Sunday, July 19. President Trump was criticized for his behavior at the game, as he seemed to crash Spain's celebration.
Spain beat Argentina in extra time to win their second World Cup title, with Trump joining FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to give out medals to players. Spain then took their positions on stage as they prepared to lift the trophy.
It's traditionally just the winning team who stay on stage to lift the trophy, but Trump stayed put to the side of the players. Spanish captain Rodri even seemed to try and move Trump out of the way so his team could celebrate.
The president was originally stood next to Gavi on one side of the stage, but he slowly made his way to the other. As Trump moved over there, Rodri put his hand on the 80-year-old's back and seemingly pushed him along so he and his teammates could begin their celebrations.
