First Lady Melania Trump was mocked for her ensemble at the 2026 World Cup final game over the weekend, as many believed it was too extravagant for a sporting event.
On Sunday, July 19, Melania, 56, and her 80-year-old husband Donald Trump attended the final World Cup match between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where Argentina lost. Melania embraced many American fashion designers with a sporty profile that included a Thom Browne tan nylon tech track jacket, featuring a red patriotic red, white, and blue striped collar.
The Melania documentary film-maker wore her designer jacket over a white Gap T-shirt and white Ralph Lauren belted trousers, accessorizing with a pair of oversized Aviator sunglasses.

Several social networkers on X had much to say about her World Cup outfit at this year's competition, and not all of the online chatter was positive.
"I find this account really annoying. Very shallow. And pathetically materialistic She's more than the clothes she wears," one wrote on X as another slammed, "Embarrassments, all." A third added, "The corrupt elite at the World Cup." Despite Melania facing criticism over her outfit, some have praised the FLOTUS for putting her best fashion foot forward at the 2026 World Cup.
Melania's Thom Browne Track Jacket with Stowaway Hood retails for $1,690 at Nordstrom, and her Belle Vivier Ballerinas cost $945, meaning that part of her outfit amounted to $2,635.
