President Donald Trump was ridiculed in a CNN segment that saw an array of clips of him categorically stating that he would not put America in a situation of conflict

CNN mocked President Donald Trump as they aired a montage of clips of him promising he would not go to war.

The compilation then featured President Trump changing his tune as he announced being at war with Iran, in a dramatic U-turn for his supposed peaceful policy. He was also seen calling the conflict with Iran "a short-term excursion" and claiming six weeks ago it was "almost finished."

Viewers of the compilation then rushed to social media to comment on it as they shared their opinion, as they labeled Trump, 80, a "liar" and a "con man." One wrote, "This is the essential truth, the pathological liar Trump in 2024 ran a campaign based on no wars and lowering Biden’s prices… The exact opposite happened… he has sent our military into repeated wars, and prices have skyrocketed multiple times higher than when Joe was president."

A second commented, "Every single mf thing Trump ever promised could be turned into a montage of reversals. From no new wars, to fixing inflation, to releasing the Epstein files. Con men con. It's what they do!"

A third posted, "The orange imbecile & his entire administration is full of liars & jelly-spined boot-lickers. They are the slaves of two genocidal blood-thirsty war-mongers - bb & vlad. The sooner the USA realizes this as a country, the more endless wars the USA will avoid."

A fourth said, " Campaigning on "no new wars" while slipping into an endless attrition campaign in the Middle East shows the ultimate gap between rhetoric and reality. Without a defined strategic end state, power projection quickly turns into a quagmire."

A fifth shared, "I would honestly have more respect for Trump if he just went in, went overboard and ended this shit right away. Bit this pussy footing is killing americans and hurting everyone at home. End it or get out."

It comes as President Trump issued a chilling Iran threat while live on air. After Argentina lost to Spain in a humiliating 1-0 loss during the FIFA 2026 World Cup Final, Trump traveled to Joint Base Andrews in Prince George's County, Maryland.

While at the air base, Trump answered questions from reporters from NewsNation, which is when he threatened the Middle Eastern country. At first, Trump initially described the game, "It was great. It was a great event, yes."

Trump then steered the conversation toward the Iranian regime and said, "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Iran has been very, very damaged. They have lost everything almost militarily."

"They've got some missiles. They've got some drones. We control the Strait. They don’t control anything. So we'll see what happens," he threatened.

"We hit them hard tonight, and we did in honor of the probably three as opposed to two great patriots," he closed.
