AdventHealth and Intermountain anticipate signing a definitive agreement in the coming weeks.

Two large Denver-metro healthcare providers announced Tuesday that they plan to combine services in the region.

AdventHealth and Intermountain Health signed a letter of intent to form a joint venture, the companies said. The proposal would bring together five Denver-area hospitals from AdventHealth and three Intermountain hospitals.

The five AdventHealth hospitals include AdventHealth Avista, AdventHealth Castle Rock, AdventHealth Littleton, AdventHealth Parker and AdventHealth Porter. The deal will also include offsite emergency and urgent care centers and dozens of medical practices.

For Intermountain Health, the agreement will include Good Samaritan Hospital, Lutheran Hospital and Platte Valley Hospital, along with their related physician practices and clinics.

“Partnering with Intermountain Health represents an opportunity to build on our shared commitment to deliver high-quality, compassionate care,” said David Banks, president and CEO of AdventHealth, which will manage and lead daily operations under the agreement.
