The Minnesota Lynx are having a strong 2026 campaign, as the club is in first place in the WNBA with a 21-6 record. With the All-Star break right around the corner, the team received huge news regarding Napheesa Collier’s injury status ahead of the next game against the Seattle Storm.
Reports indicate that the 29-year-old forward is deemed probable for Wednesday’s contest, according to Alexa Phillipou of ESPN. While Collier has not technically been announced active, the probable designation suggests she will be ready to make her 2026 debut.
“Breaking: Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier is listed as PROBABLE for tomorrow’s game vs. the Seattle Storm, making her on track to make her 2026 season debut,” Phillipou reported.

The five-time All-Star missed the first portion of this season after undergoing surgeries on her left and right ankles. Both procedures helped repair lingering damage in Collier’s lower body sustained during the 2025 WNBA Playoffs. Participating in Wednesday’s game against the Storm gives her a chance to get a tune-up game right before the start of the All-Star break.
Napheesa Collier’s return is huge for a Lynx team that already looks like a title contender. Assuming she is fully healthy, Collier should fit right back into the starting lineup, offering consistent scoring and defense as one of the league’s best two-way players.
The 2024 Defensive Player of the Year finished last season averaging 22.9 points (career-high), 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.5 blocks (career-high). She recorded those numbers shooting 53.1% from the floor while hitting 40.3% of her three-point attempts.
With Collier likely making her 2026 debut on Wednesday, it is not entirely clear how much playing time she will receive. It may be a lighter workload than usual, considering the All-Star break kicks off on July 23 in Chicago, Illinois.
