Love Island's Fitzy doesn't see a future living in London with Lola

Love Island's Sean 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and his girlfriend Lola Deal are wasting no time in making plans for their future outside the villa.

The Galway footballer and the London-based Islander left Love Island as one of this year's strongest couples, offering to leave so others wouldn't be dumped.

Speaking to EVOKE now he's back in the real world, Fitzy revealed Lola will be travelling back to Ireland with him after the Love Island final before they begin figuring out their next chapter.

'She's going to come back with me,' he said.

While Lola previously suggested they could split their time between Galway and Dublin, Fitzy admitted he already has a favourite.

'I think Dublin's the spot,' he said. 'There's way more to do. You can come down and see the family any time, it's only a two-and-a-half-hour drive.'

The reality star also said he'd be happy to spend time in London with Lola but doesn't see him relocating there permanently.

'I wouldn't mind going over for even a month if she wants to, but I don't think I'd settle there. It's just too big,' he said.

Since returning home, Fitzy has also found himself dealing with an unexpected side effect of reality TV fame, women claiming to have dated him.

Laughing off the rumours, he insisted none of the people speaking publicly were actually former girlfriends.

'I apparently have a lot of ex-girlfriends,' he joked. 'Not one of them is my ex-girlfriend. All of my ex-girlfriends have not come out and said anything.'

Rather than taking offence, Fitzy admitted he found the whole thing entertaining: 'I like it though. People are trying to say they were with me. It makes me feel wanted.'

His inbox has also been inundated since leaving the villa, with some fans even encouraging him to leave Lola.

'My DMs are full,' he laughed. 'There are girls saying, "Get rid of Lola, we want you," and girls I've talked to before saying, "Don't let Lola see this, but you need to meet up with me."'

Now back in Ireland, Fitzy has been soaking up time with family and friends after weeks away in the Love Island bubble.

'It's really good being home,' he said. 'I had five of the boys over for a poker night, and then we went out. It was just nice to debrief and see everyone again.'

The warm reception has continued online too, with Fitzy admitting he was pleasantly surprised by how positive the public reaction has been.

'I thought there'd be loads of scandals or people making up stories, but everything I heard was really good. It was really positive.'

Although his own reception has been overwhelmingly warm, he acknowledged Lola faced a tougher return, revealing she stayed off her phone for several days after leaving the villa because of the online backlash.

With the Love Island final fast approaching, Fitzy also revealed exactly who he'll be backing to take home the £50,000 prize.

'I'm rooting for Yaz and Tommy,' he said. 'I also like Priya and Aidan.  A week before Casa, I shipped them. They were all over each other the whole time, flirting.'
