"Vacant buildings aren't fun. Having something there for people to do to bring more people to our city, I think it's going to be a really great thing in the long run," said Justin Morin with the Lewiston-Auburn Metro Chamber of Commerce.
The former church had previously been slated for demolition before plans for its redevelopment emerged.
An opening date for the Lewiston brewery has not yet been announced.
