Are you a fan of the cult-favorite TV series The X-Files and looking for a chance to revisit the gritty '90s sci-fi drama with a new Lego tribute? Well, you're in luck. The Lego Group and Disney Entertainment have just unveiled Lego Ideas The X-Files (21369), a massive 1,478-piece model that celebrates the beloved TV series.
To help celebrate the launch, Lego tapped Emmy Award-winning actor Gillian Anderson, who stars as Dana Scully in a cinematic mini-film tribute to the show. Packed with a familiar cast of characters and plenty of Easter eggs to discover, the new build brings some of the series' most memorable moments to life in Lego form.
Inside the New Lego Ideas The X-Files Set
The Lego Ideas The X-Files set features a detailed build of Fox Mulder's office, complete with a forest clearing scene and a hovering UFO. The set comes with eight minifigures: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, the Flukeman and a gray alien, giving you plenty of ways to recreate a variety of key investigations and encounters.
Where this set really shines is in its authentic series details. Builders can find pieces like a "The Truth Is Out There" tile, an "I Want to Believe" poster, an X-Files dossier and even a nod to Mulder's sunflower seed habit. There are also pencils stuck in the ceiling of Mulder's office, a fun reference to one of the agent's quirkiest habits.

Further bringing the set to life, it also offers a variety of display options. The forest diorama can be showcased on its own, while Mulder's office can be opened or partially disassembled to reveal interior details. As for the UFO, it can be mounted on a transparent stand to give the illusion of hovering above the forest or removed and displayed separately, giving fans more than one way to showcase their favorite series moments.
Submitted as part of the Lego Ideas '90s Nostalgia Challenge, the Lego Ideas The X-Files set was created by Brisbane-based 3D artist and fan designer Brent Waller. The Lego Ideas platform invites fans to submit product ideas, which are then voted on by the community before being considered for production as official Lego sets, giving creators the chance to see their designs become a reality.
Where and When to Buy Lego Ideas The X-Files Set
If you're looking to get your hands on a set, the LEGO Ideas The X-Files (21369) set will be available for Lego Insiders early access from Aug. 1, before becoming available on Lego.com for everyone on Aug. 4. The 1,478-piece set will retail for $199.99 and is geared toward ages 18 and up.
And to sweeten the deal, while supplies last, shoppers who purchase the set between Aug. 1–10 will receive the Lego Ideas The X-Files: Scully's Lab (40896) as a free gift with purchase. The set recreates authentic details of the classroom lab at the FBI National Academy and includes a Dana Scully minifigure wearing her lab coat and scrubs.
