At this World Cup, Lamine Yamal has been supported by his new girlfriend, Inés García, and his parents, Sheila and Mounir. But the star of Yamal’s family and friends is undoubtedly his little brother, Keyne.

Keyne, 3, is actually his half-brother; his mom, Sheila Ebana, remarried after splitting from Yamal’s dad, Mounir Nasraoui. Sheila has not publicly shared her new husband’s name. “I came from an apartment where the kitchen and bedroom were in the same place,” Yamal said last year. “So I see my mother happy, I see that my brother can have the kind of childhood I would have wanted, and that’s what makes me happiest.”

Despite their sixteen year age gap, Yamal adores his younger brother. “I’m moved when I see my little brother this happy, as well as seeing my mum and friends living the life they always dreamed of,” Yamal, who turned 19 earlier this week, told reporters. “My little brother means everything to me. I’m in love with him; it feels like he’s my son.”

Of Keyne’s newfound fame, Yamal said, “I don’t think he’s realized. He does what he does at home and when the camera is on him, he does something goofy. When he’s older, he’ll see it. I like that people have so much love for him. I like seeing him on the screen. He entertains me.”

Yamal also has a sister Baraa, the daughter of his father Mounir Nasraoui. Unlike Keyne, Baraa has stayed out of the spotlight.

Zelensky fires Ukraine military chief and names replacement after mass protests

President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday fired Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi as commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces and named his replacement, following days of mass protests in Kyiv, the country’s capital, and other cities across the nation demanding his removal. It was the second major change Zelensky has made under street pressure, after protests last summer forced him to undo a law weakening Ukraine’s anti-corruption watchdogs. Zelensky...
