Arizona voters go to the polls Tuesday to select a Republican nominee in the race for governor, with the winner set to challenge Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs this fall.
Rep. Andy Biggs is the front-runner in the race for the GOP gubernatorial nomination, with the endorsement of President Donald Trump and a big advantage in fundraising. Biggs has represented Arizona’s 5th Congressional District, southeast of Phoenix, since 2017 and is a former president of the Arizona state Senate. He has three opponents for the nomination: 1st District Rep. David Schweikert, Ken Miceli and Scott Neely.
All are vying for the chance to run this fall against Hobbs, who is seeking a second four-year term.
