One of the hottest topics in the superhero and sci-fi space involves Adam Driver. The Star Wars’ headliner known by all as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy opposite Daisy Ridley’s Rey, has recently headlined something much different: rumors that he’ll join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This will allegedly occur in the X-Men reboot film that is currently slated to premiere after 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars, the second part of the Avengers: Doomsday saga, but one rumor has now spawned into several and a top boss at Marvel Studios aims to clear the air.

Driver has been rumored to accept the role as Magneto, contradicted by another report that lists him as William Stryker, both of those being contradicted by a third that has him portraying Mr. Sinister — this being quite telling of just how much is actually known about any of this.
Kevin Feige, president and executive producer of Marvel Studios, finally weighed in on the matter — amidst the unexpected and explosive reveal of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer — and confirmed Marvel has had multiple talks with Driver to try and get him on board.
“Many, many, many [conversations] … It’s no secret we’d like to [work with him], but it’s a tradition to zoom with him and passes. That’s a long tradition,” Feige told The Playlist. “Couldn’t be more cordial.”
That said, Feige failed to confirm if Driver had/has agreed to sign on, and who’d he portray if he did.
Will Adam Driver Actually Join the MCU after Avengers: Doomsday?
Driver himself has yet to comment on the rumors running rampant online, and Feige simply clarified that the two sides have spoken on several occasions which, even if taken with a large grain of salt, does indicate that either Marvel Studios is lobbying him hard and/or that Driver is interested and details are being hammered out.
Either way, MCU fans are chaotic over the possibility of seeing Driver, be it as Magneto, Stryker, Mr. Sinister or anyone else. He's a proven actor, but a divisive one, who has shown he can help carry a franchise forward, as he did in the aforementioned Star Wars sequel trilogy.
More will likely pour out in the near future regarding Driver and the MCU, because Feige wants him and that means the door will remain wide open for the foreseeable future. With no shortage of projects on the calendar after Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday, Feige will undoubtedly find a major role for Driver — if the Marvel boss can get a simple "yes".
