Kaizer Chiefs confirm goalkeeper’s loan move!

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari will spend the upcoming season on loan at newly-promoted PSL side Kruger United.

Ntwari struggled for game time last season, and while he appears to have fallen out of favour, the club felt a loan move would suit him best.

SA People reported a while ago that Ntwari’s future at Amakhosi was bleak as he continued to be sidelined.

The arrival of Renaldo Leaner coupled with the fact that Bruce Bvuma is staying put has also made things worse for Ntwari.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Chiefs said the aim of the loan move is to grant the Rwanda international valuable game time elsewhere.

KAIZER CHIEFS LOAN NTWARI TO KRUGER UNITED

“Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari will join Mpumalanga-based Kruger United on a season-long loan in the upcoming 2026/27 campaign,” reads the statement.

“The move gives the Rwandan international a chance to gain valuable game time while contributing to the ambitions of the newly promoted outfit in the Betway Premiership.”

HOW DID NTWARI FARE AT AMAKHOSI?

The 26-year-old joined Chiefs in July 2024 from TS Galaxy with high expectations but he hasn’t really reached his full potential.

In the two years he spent at Chiefs, Ntwari featured just eight times in official game, conceded 11 goals and kept a single cleansheet.

The lanky shot-stopper did not feature the whole of last season as Brandon Petersen took over as the club’s No.1 choice goalkeeper.
