New Jersey native Jamie Ding will team up with Ben Affleck on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire."

New Jersey native Jamie Ding has already proven his trivia prowess on one game show. Now, he is teaming up with an Award-winning actor on another show in hopes of reclaiming that magic.

Ding, a resident of Lawrenceville, will appear with Ben Affleck on the July 22 season premiere of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The duo will attempt to answer 15 multiple choice questions correctly to win $1 million for a charity of their choice.

The "Millionaire" appearance marks a return to television for Ding, who won 31 games and collected $882,605 during his run on "Jeopardy!" airing in March and April. Both totals rank fifth all-time among contestants in regular season play, according to the show's leaderboard.

Ding's impressive resume likely makes him more equipped to handle the "Millionaire" questions than his partner, a fact alluded to in an ABC promotional video previewing the season. Affleck states that he believes he knows the answer to a question and Ding agrees, prompting the actor to nervously exclaim, "Don't take my word for it!"

Ding's "Millionaire" episode marks the start of the fifth season of the revived game show, which now features celebrities playing for charity. The season is the third to consist of a pair of contestants taking on the questions together, as opposed to solo competitors in the traditional format.

The newest season of "Millionaire" premieres at 8 p.m. July 22 on ABC. Hulu subscribers can watch episodes the next day on the streaming platform.
