How to Enter the World Tree's Sealed Sanctum in Palworld

This is a detailed guide showing how to enter the Sealed Sanctum in the World Tree in Pocketpair's survival game, Palworld.

Now that you have successfully breached the initial defenses and entered the World Tree in Palworld, there’s one more gate within the tree itself that remains locked. The World Tree is a massive new biome in Palworld’s 1.0 release, but it doesn’t mean everything is readily available. There is one door all the way to the western portion of the map that remains locked until you progress through the story.

Thankfully, we know how to get through this gate: Boss fights. Like the rest of the game, you will need to overcome specific encounters, but these are much quicker, requiring less storytelling and more jumping into the deep end. The bosses you will need to defeat are located on the corners of the map, making them easy to find, but putting them down is another story.

Shinespore Root

Palworld Silvance

The first boss of the three comes in the southwest of the World Tree. This is Shinespore Root where the fire-based Silvance resides. This is probably the easiest of the three encounters you will need to overcome as, despite its mobile-looking size, Silvance is fairly slow, both in movement and casting.

Silvance’s most powerful attack is a large gust attack from around their body. It’s very easy to identify as the entire screen will be engulfed in a green whirlwind, but you will need to move out immediately as it goes off relatively quickly.

The other major attack is it will essentially throw pollen out into the world. It’s pretty simple: just don’t touch the exploding balls of doom and you will be safe. The one downside is it will target one opponent with a large orb that will track them until it pops.

Finally, it will have a couple of long-ranged attacks, such as throwing a spike at a target or waves of blades similar to Panthalus’ frontal attack. Regardless, after you take it down, or capture it since it is a very good Pal to have handy, the Silvance’s Plume will drop, one of the key items to open the gate.

Rotmist Root

True to its name, the Rotmist Root is found in the northeast portion of the map where there’s a poisonous environment. The arena replicates this by having a green, dangerous-looking arena.

Thankfully, it’s mostly for aesthetics, as the green sludge won’t do anything to you or your pals. Dandilord, the Bewitching Lurker is your second boss battle, and he’s a bit trickier than the last.

One of his attacks is a three-second beam that will drain your entire shield immediately. Be ready to dodge. It will also send out purple orbs that will track onto a player or Pal. It can also summon a gust of wind around its body, dealing damage to anyone nearby. This is an annoying move only because it happens almost instantly with little time to react.

Outside of that, it has a dash move that will leave a trail of mist behind, something you don’t want to stand in. After defeating Dandilord, you will obtain the Dandilord’s Petal, the second material required to breach the seal chamber in the World Tree.

The Forbidden Laboratory

Last but not least, we have the Forbidden Laboratory located in the northwest corner of the map. The name is pretty suitable for the bosses you will come across in this encounter. That’s right, there are multiple instead of the standard one in the other two engagements we have faced thus far.

The first battle will be against Grizzbolt and Lyleen, both of which are “highly modified.” You will notice they and the entire arena is glowing dark red. They are significantly more powerful than before, but nothing you haven’t faced.

The next will be Faleris and Orserk, a slightly more challenging encounter, but again, far from the worst. You should try to focus on Faleris first, being a flying type Pal, as you’ll be able to outrange the others fairly easily.

Selyne and Shadowbreak are part of the third encounter. At this point, it gets a little tricky to see the highly modified Pals because of all the corpses, so try to pull away from the center of the room.

Finally, we have Shaolong and Bastigor. This is the most challenging fight of the Forbidden Laboratory. Shaolong can hit you at quite the distance while Bastigor can fly in from across the room. Add in Bastigor being able to freeze you, they become the deadliest of pairs.

Afterward, you will receive the Pal’s Containment Core.

With all three cores in hand, all you have to do is head to the western portion of the map and interact with the barrier. There’s no crazy cutscene, but you’ll instead simply walk through to the next area, which will be ready for you to face the final boss.
