How To Breed Mutated Pals In Palworld

Learn how to build a base that mass-produces Extravagant Vegetable cakes and mutated eggs to breed powerful mutated Pals in Palworld.

To breed mutated Pals in Palworld, I usually place two Pals in the Breeding Farm alongside a couple of Extravagant Vegetable cakes. This will raise the chances of getting mutated eggs, which will hatch into mutated Pals. In this guide, I'll go over how you can build a base that can continuously make Extravagant Vegetable cakes, produce mutated eggs, and hatch mutated Pals in Palworld.

How to Breed Mutated Pals in Palworld

Generally, whenever you're breeding, there's a tiny percentage chance of the parents producing a mutated egg. You can slightly raise that percentage by using Extravagant Vegetable cakes during the egg production phase. They're not simple cakes to make, as they require these ingredients:

  1. Flour
  2. Cotton Candy
  3. Potato
  4. Onion
  5. Carrot

First, you need to build Wheat Plantations to produce Wheat. After that, build a Mill to convert Wheat to Flour. Next, build a ranch and place a Woolipop to drop Cotton Candy. Finally, build Potato, Onion, and Carrot Plantations to grow them, and you'll be able to mass-produce the Extravagant Vegetable cake to breed mutated Pals in Palworld.

The mutated Pal is a Rank 2 Pal and usually has almost-full potential stats. I always enjoy breeding them since they're only a few steps away from being fully built Pals. I also level them up and use them for expeditions, where they have high firepower.

It's important to note that the Ancient Hatchery allows you to mass-produce eggs. However, it's not an ideal place to get mutated Pals, as the Ancient Hatchery doesn't work with Partner Skills. So, for example, you can keep using Extravagant Vegetable cakes to hatch as many eggs as possible until you land on a mutated egg, but what you will lose throughout the process is having all those hatched eggs become Alpha Pals using Broncherry's Partner Skill.

On the other hand, you can use a normal Breeding Farm and only pick up the mutated eggs when you have Grintale in your team. Grintale's Partner Skill will grant you a 50% chance to pick up another egg for every egg you pick up, including mutated eggs. This will greatly increase the amount of mutated Pals you can hoard while using fewer Extravagant Vegetable cakes.
