Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went all out for their five-year anniversary and fans seem to think the longtime couple celebrated the sweet milestone at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
On Monday, July 20, the “Hollaback Girl” singer, 56, posted an Instagram Reel showing off her glam as she and the Grammy-nominated country singer, 50, had a special date night.
“5 year wedding anniversary date night with my forever @blakeshelton ❤️gx,” she captioned the post, set to her 2004 hit “Luxurious.”
They first met on The Voice in 2014, before tying the knot in 2021.
In Monday’s clip, Stefani joked that “Blake will not let me take any pictures of him,” while showing off her intricate Yara Shoemaker dress.
The video started in the daytime, and while it never showed exactly what the two did for their date night, it ended with her and Shelton back in a vehicle at nighttime as he sang Montel Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It” to the camera.
Stefani and Shelton’s anniversary is on July 3, the same day that the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, tied the knot in New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out the similarities between the two, as Stefani’s post seemingly placed her and Shelton in the Big Apple, as his suit bag hanging in the closet subtly read “Blake NYC” in part.
“Looks like y’all went to a certain wedding 😉 💍,” one person wrote. “Because the wedding fell on their anniversary. What a fun date that would have been!!” another said in response.
“Happy Anniversary! Is that New York…??? Did we go to a wedding for the wedding anniversary??? 🤔,” another person commented.
Kelce and Swift’s wedding, which was officiated by Adam Sandler and had an estimated 1,000 guests, had a strict no-phones policy, but the couple has been linked to Stefani and Shelton in the past.
During a September 2024 interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Shelton compared his and his wife’s relationship to how Kelce’s began with Swift.
“He’s a standout no matter where he is or what he’s doing. He’s just got this big personality. He’s a funny guy,” Shelton said. “He walks into the room, and he has a presence there, so there’s never going to be that moment where he’s in the shadows anyway just because of his charisma and his personality anyway.”

After adding that both Kelce and his older brother Jason Kelce are “a ton of fun,” Shelton praised Swift and Travis for not “sneaking around” or trying to keep their relationship “on the down low.”
“I think when you’re willing to just come out and just kind of put it in everybody’s face that you’re together and you’re owning it — that’s what Gwen and I did,” Shelton said.
