Gayle King leads World Cup final worst dressed list in frumpy white sweatpants

A slew of stars have gathered at Met Life stadium in New Jersey for the highly-anticipated World Cup final, and many of them completely missed the mark with their outfits.

Argentina and Spain are facing off to see who will get their hands on the coveted FIFA World Cup Trophy, and an array of actors, singers, fashion icons and political figures were spotted on the red carpet ahead of kickoff.

But between the over-the-top looks, tacky accessories and underwhelming ensembles, the sporting event has been filled with a slew of sartorial nightmares and fashion fails.

That's right, some of Hollywood's most elite failed to impress with their bizarre outfit choices at the soccer match.

Gayle King led the worst dressed list at the World Cup final, as she was spotted wearing a frumpy white outfit.

The TV star, 71, opted for a tight white tank top, which left her toned shoulders and slim figure on full display.

But she paired it with some wrinkled white sweatpants, which weren't the most flattering.

She completed the look with some sneakers and a silver purse - but overall, her outfit was boring and dowdy.

Model Winnie Harlow, on the other hand, had a little too much going on with her World Cup final ensemble. 

She donned a white T-shirt that had gold squares strategically placed on her chest area, high-waisted tan jeans and a dramatic gold belt. 

She accessorized with oversized earrings and a matching necklace, and toted a gold handbag that had a face on it.

The worst part, however, was her gold and white sneakers, which had fake toes painted on them.

Singer Nicole Scherzinger, British pop star Robbie Williams and Italian musician Laura Pausini all wore blue outfits as they performed ahead of the coveted Argentina vs. Spain match... but the bright color made for quite an eyesore.

Scherzinger opted for a dramatic blue gown that had a huge ruffle in the front and a long train, which she paired with matching tights and heels, while Williams donned a sparkly tracksuit. Pausini, for her part, wore a blue tie-dye sparkly gown.
