One Fox News reporter suffered an embarrassing mishap live on the air as she covered the news of the Iran War.
On Tuesday, July 21, a clip of Fox News correspondent Harris Faulkner circulated on social media in which the host was seen accidentally confusing the Middle Eastern countries Iraq and Iran. In the clip, the 60-year-old journalist said, "Fox News has learned more about Trump’s potential plans to escalate the war against Iraq…"
After a brief pause, she awkwardly corrected her mistake as she added, "My bad - apparently I said Iraq instead of Iran at one point in using that word so I just want to get on the record that I know the difference. My bad." This comes as Fox News viewers have turned on one Trump official who they say is a "bumbling idiot."

After the blunder, many Fox News viewers took to X condemning Faulkner for the error. One person wrote, "'IRAN' and 'IRAQ' are very hard words to pronounce. It's a common error, especially amongst uneducated-settled-for-nearly-$1B-propaganda-monsters."
Another person added, "Mixing up Iran and Iraq in a discussion about military action is a pretty significant slip."
While a third person chimed in, "That correction came a little too late. Live TV can be unforgiving."

And another critic added, "Next she'll tell us that Trump is escalating the war with the Islamic Republic of Japan."
Faulkner is a conservative television news anchor and host who joined the Fox News Channel in 2005. She anchors the Fox News shows 'The Faulkner Focus' and 'Outnumbered.' Additionally, she hosts her own primetime political franchise titled 'Town Hall America with Harris Faulkner.'
Faulkner's slip-up came as the network was covering the latest update in the U.S.-Iran War, with President Donald Trump now threatening a new escalation.
Trump warned that the U.S. will soon launch an attack on an Iranian nuclear site after he thought the Middle Eastern country might be moving components to build a nuclear weapon underground. Trump is threatening this action at Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain, where satellite images show tunnel construction activity.
During an Oval Office meeting, when asked about the activity, Trump told reporters, "We’ll be hitting that area very probably pretty soon...and very heavily."
The 80-year-old went on to add that Iran “may have” stored centrifuges used to enrich uranium at Pickaxe Mountain, but that the U.S. doesn’t “have it on record.” Even if this is the case, Trump assured, “it doesn’t mean anything unless they have the [nuclear] material. They don’t have it.”
