The Seahawks brought in a former Packers receiver for a tryout, but so far it hasn’t resulted in a signing.

The Seattle Seahawks held tryouts for four players recently, signing former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Brandon Johnson. One of the other names on the list is a former Green Bay Packers receiver who did rack up a few catches and touchdowns playing in Matt LaFleur’s offense.

Malik Heath, who spent nearly three full seasons in Green Bay before he was waived, is the highest profile name to meet with Seattle. He signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent back in 2023, making the 53-man roster as a rookie. Heath caught 31 passes for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns, one of which came in a blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers back in 2024.

Heath was waived late in the 2025 season and picked up by the Atlanta Falcons, but he never played for them and has remained a free agent since then. The former Mississippi State and Ole Miss player is listed as 6’2 and 213 lbs, with a 4.64 40-yard dash at the combine.

The other Seahawks tryouts were cornerback Deantre Prince, formerly of the UFL champion Louisville Kings, and defensive back A’Marion McCoy, an undrafted rookie out of Boise State.
