Jets fans rush to slam new logo as 'worst in NFL' in scathing assessment

The New York Jets released their new logo for the 2026 season, with its latest minimalist approach leaving fans infuriated amid its 'White Out' uniform release

New York Jets fans have rushed to social media to slam the NFL franchise’s new logo and its 'White Out' uniforms ahead of the 2026 season.

The NFL franchise revealed a refreshed logo on Tuesday, along with an alternate white helmet featuring a striking white shell and matching white facemask. While the design introduces a clean new look, it draws inspiration from last season's, which paid tribute to the iconic "Sack Exchange" teams that dominated in the early 1980s.

The Jets will hope to see an upturn in form in the 2026 campaign, having finished at the bottom of the AFC East with a torrid 3-14 record. Perhaps, a new look could help — but fans aren’t convinced in the slightest. The release comes after F-16s intercepted 10 aircraft above the Jets’ MetLife Stadium around the World Cup final.

“Jets taking Ls and the season hasn't even started yet...” one fan reacted to the logo.

“I hate how people are trying to brainwash us into thinking ‘simpler is better’ when it comes to graphic design. And ‘modernizing logos,’ This s—- is dumb, and the other logos were better. You look like an airline now and not a football team,” another fumed.

“Uhhh, no, this logo sucks, use the one on the helmet dummies,” a third reacted.

“Whoever came up with this logo should be fired. This is child's play,” a fourth tweeted.

Head coach Aaron Glenn is facing a make-or-break season. The Jets decided to stick with Glenn despite their poor form last year. The Jets used three first-round NFL Draft picks in April to bolster their ranks. David Bailey came in at No. 2 from Texas Tech, followed by Kenyon Saqid at No. 16, and Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 30. The Jets made savvy picks across offense and defense.

The Jets also picked cornerback D’Angelo Ponds in the second round, a pick that was revealed to Cooper Jr. before it was locked in. “I had a meeting with AG and my family. After that meeting, I was like, so what y’all thinking for our first second round pick? And then he was like, ‘It’s either we’re thinking O-Lineman or DB [defensive back],’” Cooper explained.

“He was like, ‘I like your guy D’Angelo Ponds. He kind of reminds me of myself.’ I was like, yeah, go get ’em.”

The Jets also locked up superstar running back Breece Hall. Hall signed a $45.75 million pact for the next three years.

“It was extremely important,” Aaron Glenn said at OTAs.

“He’s somebody that we wanted to be here -- I’ve talked about it for a while, how good of a player he is for us.

“To be able to get that done and to get that out of his mind so that he can just go out there and play his game now, that’s always a good thing for us.”
