The 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup is over.
Spain topped Argentina, 1-0, in the FIFA Men's World Cup Final on Sunday. Spain won the World Cup for the first time since 2010. Argentina, meanwhile, failed to repeat as World Cup champions, after winning it all in 2022.
Following the conclusion to the month-plus long World Cup, held in North America, FIFA has released its new world soccer rankings. And, predictably, there's been a pretty notable shakeup to the Top 10.
Spain, after winning it all, is the No. 1 team in the world. Spain dominated the entire World Cup, allowing just one goal to be scored against them. Spain completely suffocated Lionel Messi and the Argentina attack in the final.
Argentina, France, England and Brazil are rounding out the top five.
FIFA World Soccer Rankings Top 10
FIFA has updated its world soccer rankings Top 10 following the conclusion to the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.

The U.S., meanwhile, comes in at No. 16 overall. The U.S. men's national team was ranked No. 16 in the world heading into the World Cup, so the 2026 tournament didn't do much of anything to impact their rankings.
Mexico, meanwhile, saw a pretty nice bump, going from No. 15 in the world to No. 10 in the world, following their World Cup performance.
Senegal, meanwhile, saw a pretty significant drop, going from No. 14 in the world to No. 18 in the world, after a disappointing World Cup performance.
Norway saw the biggest jump, though, going from No. 31 in the world to No. 19, a 12-spot jump.
