Jamie Milne is sharing a peek into the nursery of her dreams.
The food influencer, who runs the popular Instagram account Everything Delish, is opening the door to her 2-month-old daughter Blake’s nursery, which she designed with celebrity interior designer and friend Ali Budd. Budd is also the star of the HGTV Canada series House of Ali, where she transforms homes into her signature design style.
Milne, who also shares son Jack with husband Brandon, tells PEOPLE that she really wanted to create a “calm, happy and warm” space for her little one.
“Designing Blake’s nursery was one of the moments I looked forward to most throughout my pregnancy, and I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to work with my friend, celebrity interior designer Ali Budd,” explains Milne, 33. “I’ve always admired her incredible eye for design, so collaborating with Ali and her amazing team at Ali Budd Interiors made the experience even more meaningful.”

“Together, we created a space that feels calm, happy and warm, layering soft blush tones with touches of sage green and timeless pieces from Pottery Barn Kids,” she continues. “We wanted the room to feel whimsical without being overly themed — welcoming yet elevated, and designed in a way that Blake can continue to grow into for years to come.”
Milne— whose debut cookbook Everything Delish: 100+ Simple Recipes for Making What You Want to Eat — and Nailing It Every Time will be available on Sept. 1 — says she had a “clear vision” for how the nursery should feel and leaned on Budd to bring her image to life.
“Having one of my friends help design such a special room for my daughter made the entire experience so much more meaningful and personal,” she explains. “Brandon loved watching it all come together, and we both wanted it to feel like a space that reflected our family.”
Since Milne and her husband had gone through the nursery design process with their son Jack before, there were a few things they knew had to be included in Blake’s room.
“If there’s one thing we learned from our son Jack, it’s that comfort quickly becomes one of your biggest priorities,” she says. “We knew we wanted a beautiful glider where we could feed Blake, read books and spend those quiet middle-of-the-night moments together.”
“We also wanted timeless, well-crafted furniture that could grow with her through every stage, so each piece was chosen with both quality and functionality in mind,” continues the mom-of-two. “We found so many beautiful options at Pottery Barn Kids that fit exactly what we were looking for while still feeling classic enough to evolve with the room over time.”
The couple also wanted the space to feel very personal, so they incorporated a few touches that helped tell their family’s story.
“Jack loved helping us get Blake’s room ready, and one of the sweetest moments was watching him pick out some of his favorite books to put on her bookshelf and choose a few of his stuffed animals to give his baby sister,” says Milne.
The proud mom particularly loves the crib area she designed with Budd, which she says creates a “calm, whimsical feeling.” She also is happy that the space will be able to evolve as Blake gets older.
“We wanted to design a room that would grow with Blake,” says Milne. She adds that her son Jack is just as into the space as his little sister.
“Jack is obsessed with his sister Blake (most of the time) and loves checking in on her. He’ll walk into her room, point things out and proudly tell everyone it’s ‘baby Blake’s room,’ ” she shares.
“I love seeing him get excited about being such a great big brother and I have a feeling they’ll both end up spending lots of time in there together!”
