A 3-year-old boy is winning the hearts of people on the internet for his adorable parenting skills.

Mary, a teacher and Pennsylvania mom of two boys, is adjusting to her family’s newfound fame after her youngest son Sylas went viral for the way he’s been taking care of his imaginary younger sibling.

“He’s learning so much more than just like playing with a baby [doll],” his mother said in a Sunday, July 19 interview with Good Morning America. “You know, he’s learning a lot of self-help skills. He’s working on his own emotions and trying to communicate more, whether it’s to me or Ellie.”

She, Sylas and his older brother Myles — along with their baby dolls — were present for the on-camera interview.

Sylas recently became a social media sensation when Mary posted content of him nurturing his toy online, telling GMA that her little one wanted a younger sister of his own, but has settled for the doll for the time being.

Her initial video, posted on Tuesday, July 14, has already garnered 4 million views a week later.

“POV: you get your son a babydoll” Mary captioned the clip, which shows Sylas smiling as big as can be, while picking out his doll in the store and carrying her outside before feeding her a bottle in the car.

“Bed time was pushed back 30 minutes because he insisted on bathing and feeding his baby when we got home from swim lessons,” she captioned the post, adding a laughing emoji.

“All I see is you raising a competent man,” one person commented. Another quipped, “Excuse me m’am that’s clearly his biological child!”

Since then, the pair have been inseparable, even during trips to the grocery store.

“I was totally not expecting the last post to go viral !!” Mary captioned a video update shared to her Instagram account. “😭 i appreciate all of the love , support and positivity on it!! Sylas loves bathing , feeding , and playing/sharing with his baby . These are all skills that children , both girls and boys , should be able to do and while there are many ways to practice this , Sylas is currently exploring and promoting these skills through a baby! ( along with many other ways).”

“It’s a lot of good coming out from just a doll,” Mary told GMA. “And apparently, I guess someone said dolls are for girls. But I mean, it’s much more than that. He’s my child and he’s happy, so that’s what matters most to me, that he’s happy.”

In addition to their sudden social media stardom, Sylas and Myles have also become hometown heroes, as the family of three watched their GMA segment air at a local diner in Conshohocken.

“Today went exactly how I wanted it to , which usually never happens lol. Thank you @andysdinerpub for allowing us to share this special moment at your restaurant,” Mary captioned an Instagram carousel that began with the brothers smiling together. Mary and her sons also posed while Sylas proudly held his doll in one photo, and their appearance on the nationally syndicated show was shown on the television in another.
