Notre Dame football is close to moving its main recruiting focus off the 2027 cycle and onto the 2028 class.
There are still a few players in the current signing class that the Irish are still after, but there isn’t much room left. While early with the next cycle, Notre Dame is off to a very good start with three commits at this moment.
More will be on the way, and on Monday Alabama safety CJ Craig-James trimmed his list to twelve schools. The all-name team member stands 6-foot, 3-inches and weighs 185-pounds, which is the prototype that Notre Dame looks for at the position. Craig-James is ranked as the No. 77 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, it won’t be easy for the Irish to win out his recruitment considering some of the remaining teams on his list.
Considering how well Notre Dame has recruited and developed safeties, it should be firmly in the running to land Craig-James.
