It looks like Notre Dame basketball has locked in an official visit from a promising four-star athlete.
Ian Condon booked in four official visits this fall and South Bend will be one of those destinations. Condon, a 6-foot, 70-inch and 220-pound power forward from Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., has emerged as one of the top front-court talents in his class. According to 247Sports Composite, he is ranked as a four-star and the No. 89 overall player in the 2027 class. He is also ranked as the No. 1 player out of Washington D.C.
Notre Dame recently offered Condon, in hopes of building an early relationship with the versatile forward. He will be visiting South Bend on September 18th and 19th. He will begin his official visits by going to Syracuse on September 1st and 2nd. He will follow up that visit by going to Boston College on September 11th and 12th. The following weekend is at Notre Dame and then he follows that up with Northwestern on October 2nd and 3rd and then finally at NC State on a yet-to-be-determined date.
Notre Dame is flipping over their roster this offseason losing a lot of key players from last year's disappointing team. Being able to get a commitment from a player like Condon could kickstart the type of rebuild that head coach Micah Shrewsberry needs to help bring some momentum back to Fighting Irish basketball.
