Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has explained why he is not ready to be the face of the NBA.
The unofficial title is given to the biggest superstar in the league, taking on-court ability and off-court fame into account.
Edwards is considered to have the game and the personality to be the next face of the NBA after LeBron James.
However, the 24-year-old insisted that he does not meet the criteria and named who he thinks deserves the title.

With LeBron James and Stephen Curry nearing the end of their NBA careers, it is time for a new face of the league.
Anthony Edwards is a hugely popular player, but he has not had enough success with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The shooting guard believes that you must first win an NBA championship before you can become the biggest superstar.
This would also rule out Victor Wembanyama and Luka Doncic, but Edwards thinks there is an obvious answer.
“I think the face of the league comes with a lot of responsibilities, and I think one of those is winning a championship.
“I haven’t done that yet. Maybe Jalen Brunson or one of those guys,” Edwards said at Fanatics Fest.
Jalen Brunson recently became an NBA champion in the United States’ biggest market (New York).
The point guard had been an MVP-level player for several years, but his title has elevated him to another level.
Until Wemby, Doncic, or Edwards win a ring, the NBA is in safe hands with Brunson as the face of the league.
