Deebo Samuel is one of the top free agents still on the board for any of the 32 NFL teams to sign. While people typically are looking for which players can help the team, there is a human side to things when players are free agents. There are some intriguing players who still remain unsigned, but let’s take a closer look at Deebo Samuel, who got honest about where he stands both physically and mentally right now.

Deebo Samuel feels like he still has good seasons left

On his most recent YouTube video titled “Faith & Power | Deebo Samuel – OFFSEASON Episode 4“, free agent wide receiver Deebo Samuel discussed the struggles of waiting for a new contract, but feeling like he has a handful of good years remaining,

“Going on Year 8 … [I] still feel like I got a lot, at least like three, four good years left. It’s kind of been tough, not even going to lie to you. All the free agency stuff going on, waking up in the morning, looking at your phone, seeing if your agent hit you up and was like, ‘This team is interested,’ or things along those lines.

“And it’s been kind of like a roller coaster. [I’ve] been through a lot, not just ball. With me and how I play this game, it’s just like, no matter what I’m going through, no matter what I’m doing, if I’m able to perform, I’m going to go out there and put it on the line for my team.”

Deebo Samuel was traded to the Washington Commanders before last season for a fifth-round pick and had a good 2025. He played 16 games (12 starts) and recorded 72 catches on 99 targets for 727 yards (10.1 yards per reception) with five receiving touchdowns. Samuel was also getting a few carries as he tallied 17 rushing attempts for 75 yards (4.4 yards per carry) with one rushing touchdown. The 30-year-old receiver has shown to be a quality player, and there are a number of veteran free agent wide receivers still looking for a contract as training camps are set to open. Below are a few names:

・Tyreek Hill

・Stefon Diggs

・Deebo Samuel

・DeAndre Hopkins

・Keenan Allen

・Curtis Samuel

・Brandon Cooks

It will be intriguing to see if there are any teams who are interested in adding Deebo Samuel ahead of the preseason. There are some contending teams with a need at wide receiver, but it takes two sides to get a contract done.
