Crash into PG&E pole on Clovis Avenue sends driver to hospital, police say

A man was hospitalized after crashing into a PG&E pole and flipping over near Clovis Avenue and Highway 180, Fresno police say.

The vehicle flipped over near Highway 180.

A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a crash involving a Pacific Gas & Electric pole, Fresno police say.

Fresno police spokesperson Lt. Larry Bowlan said a single-vehicle crash was reported around 5:45 a.m.

A car struck a PG&E pole while traveling north on Clovis Avenue near Highway 180 before flipping upside down, Bowlan said.

A man in his 20s was taken to a hospital and treated for unknown injuries.

No further information was available, Bowlan said.
