Unfortunately for Charlie Woods, his experience at the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur was a mixed bag.

Woods, the son of 15-time major winner Tiger Woods, was involved in a 14-for-2 playoff at Saucon Valley Country Club this Wednesday. His day essentially started and ended with the par-5 first hole.

According to Golf Channel, Woods tried to make the green in two from 270 yards out. His second attempt landed in the rough that was 25 yards away from the green.

As Woods was attempting his third shot, you could hear a camera click during his backswing. The 17-year-old butchered his wedge shot and the let the crowd know he wasn't pleased with their behavior.

Immediately after Woods made a mess out of his third shot, you could hear him say, "Really, dude?"

Was this a justifiable excuse from Charlie Woods?

Judging by the responses online, golf fans believe Woods unfairly used the camera click as an excuse for his poor shot.

"Tiger's Dad would have berated Tiger if he let a camera click affect him...He used to do everything possible to annoy Tiger off during a round to get him to focus," one fan wrote on X.

"That was not the phone camera fault," a second fan said. "If you wanna be a pro you have to learn to be focused and not pay attention to outside noise. Lame excuse."

"Already sick of this kids antics," another fan wrote. "What’s he gonna do when there’s thousands around him. Too much pressure on him."

Woods is currently set to join Florida State's golf team in 2027. According to reports, he already has an NIL valuation of $3 million.

Suffice to say, Woods will have to get used to dealing with even more pressure on the course once he steps foot on Florida State's campus.

Rory McIlroy’s candid admission that will make PGA Tour squirm: 'Why would I care?'

After the British Open, Rory McIlroy admitted something no PGA Tour executive wants to hear. The Northern Irishman, 37, agreed that the PGA Tour and the FedEx Cup don’t get his juices going as much as they once did. “I think it just sort of ebbs and flows,” McIlroy said after being asked about his interest in the two. “There’s been years where I’ve given [the PGA Tour] maybe more of my attention and years that I haven’t. Yeah, I guess I’m just...
