Iowa baseball to face Kansas at Field of Dreams

Although it's still over seven months away from the 2027 Iowa baseball season, the Hawkeyes announced they will take on the Kansas Jayhawks at the Field of Dreams ballpark in Dyersville, Iowa, as part of a fall ball game on Oct. 10.

Iowa concluded the 2026 season with a 33-23 overall record and advanced to the Big Ten Tournament for the 11th consecutive season.

Meanwhile, Kansas won the Big 12 regular-season and tournament championships en route to capturing the NCAA Tournament Lawrence Regional title before advancing to a Super Regional.

As another Hawkeyes connection, the press box of the newly reconstructed facility was named in recognition of Iowa basketball radio announcer Gary Dolphin’s decades of contributions to Iowa athletics, broadcasting, and communities across the state.

While the game will not count toward anything official, all tickets are general admission, costing $12, and are available for purchase on the Field of Dreams MovieSite.

First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT, with potential broadcast information still to be determined at a later date.
